I’m not an Economist, I don’t invest in the stock market, I’m just a concerned citizen that’s been sitting back and watching the mess snowball over the past year that has lead to our current economic crisis. I’m also a victim of the mortgage mess.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the fundamentals of our economy are NOT strong. Just read through my blog for the past year. Why are we suddenly in crisis mode? Why didn’t we invest the same energy in fixing things prior to hitting the crisis point? Were we floating down that infamous river in Egypt?
I’m tired of hearing from the Republicans about how they’re going to bring “change to Washington” when they’ve been the party in office for the last 8 years, fucking the whole thing up in the first place. John McCain announced pausing his campaign so he could ride into Washington on his white horse shouting “charge”, pull out his mighty sword and conquer this bail out agreement. Then you read that he sat on his ass and did little during the White House meeting. Aside from political posturing, Obama had a point that as President you can’t put the country on hold to fix 1 problem.
Here’s a great blog post from Economist.com

I’m off to drink coffee and study.
