- Provide relief for middle class & working class.
- Raise Capital gains tax
- a $1,000 per family tax credit.
- eliminate taxes for elderly workers making less than $50,000.
- provide tax relief to households making under $75,000.00 to stimulate economy.
- Invest in alternative energy to reduce oil dependency and provide new jobs.

McCain
- Make Bush’s tax cuts for households earning more than $250,000 permanent.
- eliminate alternative minimum tax for middle class.
- Suspend the federal gas tax and diesel tax from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Over the same period, stop filling the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. A national “gas holiday”.
- Tell oil producing countries that our dependence on foreign oil will come to an end – and the impact will be lower prices at the pump.
- 5 year plan on tax relief.
