My spring break comes to a quick close. Could have used another week but getting this semester done with will be a good thing. I began losing the ability to care last week as combination of my job, lack of social interaction, and stress overload.
Spring break was a combination of housework, child care, music, and some socializing!
Having grown up a sci-fi freak, one of my favorite shows as a kid was “Battlestar Galactica”. (The last season and later attempts of reviving the series completely blows though). I even like watching the old series as an adult.
When I first heard that a new Battlestar series was in the works I was thrilled.
Then I heard that the character “Starbuck” was going to be a female. I became concerned that they were going to screw up one of my favorite stories by messing with the characters. We tuned in and watched the first episode when it came out. Completely blew me away. My wife and I were hooked. Some new twists from the original series, but soooo much better. Well, with our schedules we ended dumping direct TV and missed the majority of the 3rd season. It was recently released on DVD. So this week I pulled out the first season’s DVD’s and started watching it again. Was reminded how great this show is. So we splurged and picked up the remaining DVD’s of the series including season 3!! So the past couple of days has been a Battlestar marathon!!
Now my batteries have been re-charged a bit and I ‘m more prepared to deal with school. Though Logic and I are not the best of friends right now.
Now it’s time to get back to work and prepare for a math exam Tuesday. Sigh.
